GRC 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting and Expo
The GRC 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting & Expo is the industry’s largest annual gathering of leading geothermal energy scientists, producers, renewable energy industry stakeholders, regulators, utilities, and key associated business leaders. The six-day event will offer technical, policy, and market conference sessions, educational seminars, tours of geothermal and renewable energy projects, numerous networking opportunities and exhibit hall access and much more!

  • Student Full Registration includes access to all Networking Events, Exhibit Hall, Opening Session, Technical Sessions, Field Trips, Job Fair, E-Poster Sessions, Awards Program and Student Trivia
  • Expo Only Registration includes access to all Exhibit Hall Events and Networking Receptions

1) Workshops

 
The introductory session will inform the students about the different types of geothermal resources and the sequence of events in the drilling of a geothermal resource well.  There are similarities and differences between the drilling of an oil/gas well versus the drilling of a geothermal well and a few main examples will be presented and discussed.  This session will be completed with a discussion about certain questions that need to be answered prior to designing a geothermal well.
